A Foundation-associated research team examined sentencing patterns in a sample of incarcerated men convicted of contact or enticement sexual offenses against minors, focusing on whether victim sex was associated with sentence length.
Research publication
The Foundation reports that the analysis found longer sentences where victims were male rather than female, with the largest disparity among offenses involving victims aged 14–17. The study was published in Behavioral Sciences & the Law in 2025.
