Bias in Sentencing Men for Sexual Offenses Against Minors

A representative article layout using a real forthcoming Foundation research project presented by Dr. Shawn Rolfe at the National Institute of Justice’s 2024 Research Conference.

Abstract / Summary

This is where the finished article will give readers a concise account of the research question, data, methodology, findings, and limitations before they enter the full paper. The prototype intentionally separates summary from interpretation and makes the status of the work visible.

Research context

The Foundation has a long-running interest in how sexual offenses are sentenced and how factors such as the sex of the victim, the sex of the defendant, age, public attitudes, and institutional practices may affect outcomes. The finished migrated article would present the actual study text here without altering its scholarly substance.

The redesign treats research as research: identifiable authorship, visible status, methodology, citations, and enough context for readers to evaluate the work for themselves.

Sources & downloads

Final pages can include a PDF, conference materials, datasets where appropriate, citations, related Foundation work, and a recommended citation format.
