RESEARCH PROGRAM
Prisoner Studies
Research informed by direct engagement with incarcerated people and the institutions, laws, and social assumptions that shape their lives.
Research from inside the system
The Foundation has used questionnaires distributed through its prisoner book program to gather information about incarceration, sentencing, religion, sexuality, and the experiences of people whose perspectives are often absent from public debate.
