The Foundation’s 2016 prisoner study drew responses from prisoners in 16 states and the U.S. federal prison system through its books-for-prisoners program.
The questionnaire contained 118 questions. The initial analysis focused on sentencing patterns in child sexual-offense cases, including whether sentence severity differed according to the sex and age of the victim.
This archive record is part of the migration of the Foundation’s prisoner-research program into the redesigned scholarly library. The full historical study and its supporting material will be preserved as migration continues.
